Danny Farquhar returned to Chicago’s Guaranteed Rate Field on Friday night to make a much-anticipated Cheap Fishing Jerseys mound appearance.
The White Sox reliever threw out the first pitch before his team’s game against the Brewers, six weeks after he suffered a brain hemorrhage in the Sox’s dugout during a game.
Farquhar looked healthy as strode to the mound Cheap Jerseys And Hats From China accompanied by his wife and children. With his fellow White Sox standing behind the mound, he threw a strike from the rubber to fellow pitcher Nate Jones (who recorded the final three outs of an 8-3 White Sox victory three hours later):
I prepared myself for today, Farquhar told reporters, per MLB.com. The thing that caught me off guard was the whole team coming out to the mound.
Farquhar told ABC’s Good Morning America that doctors have called him a miracle and told him he is lucky to be as functional as he is after suffering the hemorrhage, which was caused by a ruptured aneurysm.
Farquhar, 31, is working to resume his career next year. He will miss the remainder of the 2018 major league season.
I look forward to taking on Mr. Adams and hopefully take his crown, said Webb, a catcher who played varsity baseball as a freshman in high school before dropping the sport. I don’t know if I’m gonna win, but I got to let him know I’m there, you know?
Andrews, who received a baseball scholarship to Furman before opting for football at UConn, did not sound concerned with the 23-year old quarterback.
Well, that’s on Webb, Andrews said, chuckling. We’ll see what happens. I don’t think he’s gonna win it. I got it. Don’t worry about it. They’re all gunning for me.
A year ago, Webb and his fellow rookies arrived at the baseball field halfway through Adams’ home-run barrage. Hawkins was next on the schedule, firing windmill pitches to whoever was brave enough to step in against her.
The players were all gathered up in a group, we saw her throw one and we were like ‘Ugh,’ Webb said.
